Welcome the springtime with this unique blend of practices. Spring is traditionally the time to clear space externally in your environment. Janya invites you to create a ceremony for clarifying an internal space so that you can truly make room for new growth. This symbiotic practice combines yin yoga with a cleansing tea ritual and meditation in a harmonious sequence allowing for optimum relaxation and deepening physical and emotional insights. She will share the how and why of yin yoga as well as inviting you to find a deeper strength beyond the limited power of will and muscles.
You will safely explore ways to expand your range of motion through joint pressurization. The yin pressure increases blood flow and water to the ligament system and increase elasticity of the plastic tissues--tendons, ligaments, and joints. Each Yin pose is held for a few to several minutes and can be considered a mini-meditation. Yin yoga increases ranges of motion, builds flexibility as well as balances the central nervous system and promotes the autonomous functions of the organs. This Spring Cleanse practice aims to stabilize the internal heat and increase the overall vitality, especially in the tendons, the eyesight, and the intellectual mind.
