Welcome the summer with a joyous journey inward. Allow the noontime of year to help you harvest the fruits of your year's productivity so far. This practice aims to optimize the flow of the cardiovascular and the digestive systems to boost the immunity and relieve inflammation and indigestion as well as prevent autumn colds and flus. This yin sequence focuses on tonifying the heart and small intestine through stretching and pressurizing the thoracic, arms, and solar plexus regions. It activates the rest and digest response and reduce stress and fatigue allowing the body to return to homeostasis while cultivating tissue repair and organ regeneration.
Janya creates a symbiotic practice combining yin yoga with tonic tea ritual and meditation in a harmonious sequence allowing for optimum relaxation and deepening physical and emotional insights. She will share the how and why of yin yoga as well as inviting you to find a deeper strength beyond the limited power of will and muscles. You will safely explore ways to expand your range of motion through joint pressurization. The yin pressure increases blood flow and water to the ligament system and increase elasticity of the plastic tissues--tendons, ligaments, and joints. Each Yin pose is held for a few to several minutes and can be considered a mini-meditation.
All levels of practitioners are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothes.
